About This Event

Accra’s biggest day on the road is back. The 2026 First National Bank Accra Marathon takes place at Independence Square on Saturday, 14 November 2026, bringing together elite athletes, weekend joggers, corporate teams and fitness lovers.

Formerly known as the Accra Milo Marathon, the race has roots in the Dansoman Keep Fit Club and is run with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, the Ghana Education Service and Ghana Athletics. Its aim is simple: get more Ghanaians moving and help discover the next generation of running talent.

There is a distance for almost everyone, from the free 10 km Rising Stars race for young runners to the 10 km Open race and the full 42.2 km Premier race. Teams can save with the group package, and international runners have their own category. Lace up early, the day kicks off at 6 AM.
