Toyin Abraham Leaked Audio

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham is at the centre of a fresh online storm after a private phone call, said to be between her and a TikTok fan, leaked on social media this week. In the recording, the fan is heard insulting fellow actress Funke Akindele while Toyin appears to laugh along. Days later, colleagues Nkechi Blessing and Foluke Daramola have stepped in to defend her, while Toyin herself has yet to give a full statement.

What Is in the Leaked Audio?

The recording, which runs for about 11 minutes and 42 seconds, began spreading on X, Instagram and other platforms on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. It is said to capture a private call between Toyin Abraham and a TikTok user known as Bisgold.

The conversation is mostly in Yoruba and Pidgin English. In it, Bisgold repeatedly makes insulting remarks about Funke Akindele, and Toyin is heard laughing without stopping her.

The call also reportedly touched on other names in the industry, including Iyabo Ojo, actor Itele and actress Kemity. Toyin is reportedly heard raising concerns about fake fan pages being used to attack people, and describing Kemity as someone she sees as a daughter.

Neither Toyin Abraham nor Funke Akindele, or their representatives, has publicly confirmed that the recording is authentic, and its full context remains unclear.

How the Recording Got Out

Reports say the audio was first released online by a blogger known as Mama Esabod. According to an account attributed to Bisgold, a friend who was on the line during a three-way call recorded the conversation without her knowledge.

Bisgold reportedly claimed that the same friend later asked Toyin for money on WhatsApp and threatened to release the recording, and that Toyin refused. These claims have not been independently confirmed.

Social Media Divided

The leak quickly triggered heated debate. Many users criticised Toyin for not cautioning the fan, while others felt she had said nothing wrong herself.

One user wrote, “See how she is listening to the girl insulting are colleagues and didn’t caution her once.” Another advised, “TA should filter the kind of people she roll with abeg.”

Others came to her defence. “Nothing actually bad in this conversation, you all just hate her for no reason,” one fan argued. Another said she was simply “too accessible” and that it was not good for her brand.

Nkechi Blessing: “You Guys Need to Stop”

On Friday, October 16, actress Nkechi Blessing shared an Instagram video addressing the drama. She said she had planned to stay out of it, but felt she had to speak because she is close to the people involved.

She warned those attacking Toyin and urged fans to stop pitting actresses against each other. According to her, fans can support Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, Foluke Daramola, Mercy Aigbe and others at the same time.

“For how long? You guys need to stop,” she said, adding that these are hardworking women “putting everything into making you guys entertained.”

She also had a message for Toyin: “I think it’s high time you start setting boundaries between how you relate with your fans.” Nkechi slammed whoever recorded the call for betraying the trust they were given, asking what explanation they could give Toyin for recording it.

Foluke Daramola Vouches for Her Friend

Veteran actress Foluke Daramola also stood by Toyin in a social media post. She described her as someone who does not say things behind people’s backs.

“Oluwatoyin. Is there anything that she can say behind your back and she won’t say in front of you?” Foluke wrote. She ended her message: “I don’t know how you do it o @toyin_abraham, but you have a wonderful spirit and I bless God for your life.”

Has Toyin Abraham Responded?

Toyin has not released a detailed statement confirming or denying the recording. Instead, she reposted an Instagram message from influencer Bukky Majek that defended her against critics.

Funke Akindele has also stayed silent on the matter so far.

Background: The Toyin and Funke Tension

The leaked audio has revived talk of the strained relationship between the two stars. In March 2026, a viral clip from the Lagos premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s film The Return of Arinzo showed Toyin greeting Funke Akindele at her table, but Funke did not appear to respond.

Toyin later said she would no longer greet Funke and confirmed she had unfollowed her on social media. Iyabo Ojo, who is close to both women, said at the time that she had tried to make peace between them but could no longer keep pushing for a resolution.
