Asake
Asake has done it again in London. The Nigerian Afrobeats star, born Ahmed Ololade, took his In God We Trust World Tour to the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena on Thursday, October 15, 2026, and fans are still talking about the night. It was his third sold-out show at the famous venue, and it came with surprise guests, big sing-alongs and plenty of emotional moments.
A Third Sold-Out Night at the O2
Few African artistes can fill the O2 Arena once. Asake has now done it three times. He first sold out the Greenwich venue in 2023, returned in September 2024 on his Lungu Boy World Tour, and came back this year with a brand-new show.
The London date was one of the biggest stops on the In God We Trust run, which follows his North American arena dates from August and September. Reports from the night describe a packed arena with fans singing along to almost every lyric.

BNXN and Blaqbonez Join the Party
The night opened with South African amapiano duo TxC, before BNXN warmed up the crowd. BNXN had confirmed earlier this month that he would support Asake on selected European dates, including London and Paris.
BNXN later came back on stage to perform alongside Asake, giving fans a rare live moment from the two stars.
The bigger surprise came from Blaqbonez. Fans on X said the rapper appeared from the floor of the arena before joining Asake for their hit “Chanel”. The moment comes as Blaqbonez is also promoting his new album, Nomadinho: 4th Prime.
The Songs Fans Could Not Stop Singing
There was no official setlist shared, but clips from fans gave a clear picture of the night. Songs such as “Terminator”, “Joha”, “Palazzo”, “Ototo”, “Why Love” and “Skilful” all got loud reactions from the crowd.
The show reportedly closed with “Gratitude”, one of the singles from his 2026 album M$NEY, which was released on May 1. One fan was seen in tears during the song, a moment that spread quickly online.
Asake also performed his now-famous viral dance for the London crowd, adding a small new twist to the routine that fans quickly picked up on.
Fans Compare Asake to Michael Jackson
Social media was busy long after the lights went up. Some fans joked that the excitement in the arena reminded them of Michael Jackson’s late-1980s concerts, when fans famously fainted in the crowd.
One X user wrote that Asake had “transcended normal musician status”, while another said the singer looked like he was enjoying the show as much as the audience.
A clip of a woman reacting with shock after Asake came close and she touched him also went viral. Nigerian singers Rybeena and TML Vibes were spotted in the crowd singing along.
What the Night Means for Asake
The London show is another sign of how far Asake has come since his breakout in 2022. In just a few years, he has moved from viral hits to arena tours across Europe and North America.
It also shows the strength of the M$NEY era. The album has already produced several music videos, including the studio-themed Asake ‘Oba’ music video, and its songs are now carrying one of the biggest tours of his career.
London has been a big stage for Nigerian acts this season. Ayra Starr recently made history in the city as the first African artiste to headline the NFL London halftime show, and the UK continues to be one of the strongest markets for Afrobeats.
Background: The In God We Trust World Tour
Asake announced the In God We Trust World Tour in May 2026, alongside the release of the “Gratitude” music video. The tour opened with a festival set at Afro Nation in Portugal in July.
It then moved to North America, with stops in cities including Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles. South African DJ Uncle Waffles was named as a special guest on several of those US and Canadian dates.
After London, the tour heads to the Accor Arena in Paris on October 24, 2026, where BNXN is again billed to support.
Final Word
Three sold-out O2 Arena shows in four years is a major achievement for any artiste, and Asake made sure this one felt special. With surprise guests, viral moments and a crowd that sang every word, his London night has become one of the most talked-about Afrobeats concerts of the year. All eyes now turn to Paris.
