2023 Billboard Women in Music: SZA Honoured As Woman of the Year

Billboard celebrates women in the music industry each year and SZA has been honoured among other female artists as 2023 Billboard Woman of the Year

This major event recognizes creators, producers, executives and rising stars in the music industry for their significant contributions to the industry and community.

The said event is scheduled to take place on March 1, 2023 in Los Angeles, California, and will be livestreamed on YouTube Theatre.

The event will be hosted by Quinta Brunson, an American writer, producer, actress and comedian who is notably known for creating, co-writing, starring in ABC Comedy series and executive producing.

 

Billboard Women in Music: SZA Honoured  As 2023 Billboard Woman of the Year

Solana Imani Rowe, professionally known as SZA has been honoured by Billboard as woman of the Year.

The 33-year-old American singer and songwriter’s debut album ‘Ctrl’ which was released in 2017 became the second longest-charting R&B album by a woman in the history of US Billboard 200.

The singer has made tremendous progress in her career and has collaborated with most top artists in the industry, the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Maroon 5 etc.

Her work with Kendrick Lamar on ‘All the Stars’ for the ‘Black Panther’ soundtrack was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and Academy Award for Best Original Song.
