Ghanaian-British Artist Eugy Official Surrenders to Jesus Christ

Afropop star Eugy, also known as Eugy Official, surprised his fans on July 5, 2023, when he announced a significant spiritual transformation on his Instagram page. The Ghanaian-British singer-songwriter and rapper, born Eugene Entsir, revealed that he had made a spontaneous decision to embrace Jesus Christ and submit himself to the Almighty Father. He acknowledged that this unexpected turn of events served as a testament to the power of the Lord.

Eugy confessed that he had previously lived an unrighteous life but expressed gratitude for God’s grace. He vowed to move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and a clean heart. In a video accompanying his social media post, he shared that he had been baptized on July 2. The baptism ceremony was conducted by his father and uncle, both of whom are members of the clergy in the United Kingdom, where Eugy resides and works.

Reflecting on his journey, Eugy stated that if someone had asked him about his plans for the year at the beginning of 2023, he would never have anticipated such a profound spiritual transformation. He emphasized that when Jesus calls, one cannot resist but must answer and heed the call. He admitted to relying on his own strength and maneuvering through life without living righteously. However, he reached a point where he realized the importance of submitting to the will of the Almighty Father.

Eugy humbly acknowledged that he is not perfect and no better than anyone else, but he intends to move forward with a clean heart, guided by God’s grace. In his Instagram post, he expressed his gratitude for his baptism experience and the presence of his father, Pastor Joe (wearing a white shirt), and his uncle, Pastor Joshua (wearing a grey shirt), who ushered him into this new life. He concluded by giving all the praise to God and expressing his anticipation for the future.

The video featured Todd Dulaney’s song “Victory Belongs To Jesus” playing in the background. Many celebrities, including Quamina MP, Juls, Maleek Berry, Nonso Amadi, Dancegod Lloyd, Teni, and Adesope Olajide, showed their support by leaving heart emojis in the comments section. Ric Hassani responded with words of pride and congratulations, stating how fantastic and amazing Eugy’s transformation was.
