Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo is officially a married man. The Manchester City star tied the knot with his longtime partner, Jordeen Buckley, in an intimate civil ceremony on Thursday, October 8, 2026, closing a love story that started six years ago when he was still a young player at Bristol City.

The couple broke the news themselves on social media, sharing elegant wedding photos with a simple but sweet caption: “Mr. & Mrs. Semenyo.” The pictures quickly spread across Ghanaian and sports news pages, making it one of the most talked-about celebrity stories of the week.

Quick Facts

  • Groom: Antoine Semenyo, Ghana and Manchester City forward
  • Bride: Jordeen Buckley, British content creator, model and entrepreneur
  • Date: Thursday, October 8, 2026
  • Type of ceremony: Intimate civil ceremony
  • Together since: 2020
  • Engaged: November 2025
  • Announcement caption: “Mr. & Mrs. Semenyo”

A Quiet Wedding During the International Break

Unlike the big, loud celebrity weddings Ghanaians are used to, Semenyo and Jordeen chose to keep things small. The ceremony was a private civil affair, and details such as the exact venue were not made public.

The timing was also interesting. The wedding took place during the ongoing international break, a period when Semenyo would normally be in camp with the Black Stars. However, the forward had already asked to be excused from Ghana’s September–October window to recover from a niggling ankle injury.

What the Couple Wore

The photos show Semenyo looking sharp in a classic black tuxedo. Jordeen, on the other hand, stunned in a white lace gown with sheer sleeves, a fitted bodice and a long, flowing train.

The simple, classy look matched the low-key mood of the day, with the focus firmly on the couple rather than on a big show.

From Bristol City to Manchester City: A Six-Year Love Story

Semenyo and Jordeen have been together since 2020. At the time, the forward was still building his name at Bristol City in the English Championship, long before he became a household name in the Premier League.

Jordeen stood by him through every step of that journey. She was there as he moved from Bristol City to Bournemouth, and then to Manchester City, and as he grew into one of the key players for the Black Stars.

The Proposal

The couple got engaged in November 2025. Semenyo popped the question in a romantic setting filled with giant roses and candles, and Jordeen said yes.

Less than a year later, the pair have now made it official, turning their engagement into marriage.

Always by His Side

Since the engagement, Jordeen has been a regular face at Semenyo’s big moments. She travelled to support him at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the two were seen celebrating together after he picked up a Player of the Match award.

She was also by his side at the PFA Awards, where Semenyo made history as the first Ghanaian to be named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Who Is Jordeen Buckley?

Jordeen Buckley is a British content creator, model and entrepreneur. She shares lifestyle, fashion and travel content with her followers on social media.

She also runs JRosé NailBar, a nail business based in London, where she works as a nail technician. Over the years, she has posted many sweet birthday tributes and loving messages to Semenyo, and he has returned the love publicly too, once praising her horse-riding skills in a cute video.

Semenyo’s Big Year on the Pitch

The wedding comes at a high point in Semenyo’s career. The 26-year-old is now playing his football at Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

He has become only the second Ghanaian to reach 50 Premier League goal contributions. He was also nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.

His only setback has been the ankle problem that ruled him out of Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and Gambia. Fans will be hoping he returns fully fit and in high spirits as a newly married man.

A Celebrity Wedding Season

The wedding has been widely covered across Ghanaian and international sports and lifestyle pages. For a player whose career is played out under the bright lights of the Premier League, choosing a small, private ceremony says a lot about how the couple value their personal life.

It is the latest in a string of happy celebrity love stories this season. Just recently, Nigerian content creators Peller and Jarvis announced they are expecting their first child after their Lagos wedding. Semenyo’s private approach also brings to mind Berla Mundi’s famous “no phones allowed” wedding, which also kept the spotlight off the cameras.

Final Word

Antoine Semenyo has had plenty of big wins on the pitch, but this may be his sweetest yet. After six years together, a romantic proposal and a World Cup summer side by side, he and Jordeen Buckley are now officially Mr. and Mrs. Semenyo. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
