Ghanaian Artist Black Sherif Arrested for Contractual Breach

Black Sherif, the Ghanaian artist, found himself in trouble when he failed to fulfill his contractual obligation to perform at a show in Greece. Upon arriving in the country, he was apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service. Reports from Kofi TV stated that his name had been placed on a ‘stop list,’ leading to his detention.

Following his arrival, Black Sherif was taken to the police headquarters in Accra for further investigations. According to the allegations, he had been scheduled to perform on a Cruise Ship in Greece on July 4, for which he charged a fee of $40,000. Half of the payment was made to him in advance of the concert, with the remainder to be paid after the event.

Regrettably, Black Sherif did not show up in Greece for the scheduled performance, prompting the organizers to involve the police in the matter. A video circulating on social media depicted Black Sherif being escorted out of the airport by the Police CID. The situation surrounding his non-performance has led to legal consequences, and authorities are looking into the matter further.
