Burna Boy Releases Fresh Track “Sittin On Top Of The World” as International Tour Thrives

Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy has returned with his latest single, coinciding with his ongoing international stadium tour. Following the success of his album Love, Damini, which was released in July last year, Burna Boy has been primarily focused on touring the world and receiving widespread acclaim. As part of his busy summer schedule, he is set to headline Afro Nation Detroit and perform a stadium show at New York’s Citi Field.

On June 1st 2023, Burna Boy unveiled his first new single in several months, a vibrant and celebratory track that showcases his embrace of his newfound status as a global superstar. Titled “Sittin On Top Of The World,” the song features a sample from Brandy’s 1998 hit “Top Of The World,” which also included Mase. This departure from Burna Boy’s usual Afrobeats sound serves as a refreshing change and a testament to his ability to defy categorization and surpass expectations.

Accompanying the release of the single is a lyric video that doubles as a highlight reel from Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” tour. Fans can watch the video below and witness the captivating moments from his remarkable journey around the world.
