Crowed receives Shatta Wale at Asantehene's Akwasidae in Kumasi

Shatta Wale received a ‘kingly’ welcome as he and colleagues of Zylofon joined the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu to celebrate Akwasidae – Shatta Wale was mobbed instantly as he got to the Manhyia Palace. Sunday, April 8, marked another Akwasidae for the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu and the subjects of the Asante Kingdom.

However in contrast to every other’Akwasidae’, this one was graced by artistes and actors from the stables of Zylofon Media, the entertainment powerhouse. The Celebs from Zylofon including Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kumi Guitar, Songtress Becca, Toosweet Annan, Bibi Bright, amongst others obtained rousing welcomes after they arrived.

However, Shatta Wale undoubtedly obtained the loudest cheers as he arrived at the Manhyia Palace as a whole lot of followers who thronged the palace mobbed him. In a video sighted by Halmblog.com, one might see the joy on the face of fans who made it tough for the security officers and Shatta Wale’s crew to navigate a path for him for pass.

Certainly, Shatta Wale enjoyed a welcome which was deserving of the ‘king’ he claims to be. Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., Shatta Wale has been a dominant figure on the Ghanaian music scene in the last five years. He has massive fan base which supports his every move and it was not stunning that he was mobbed in Kumasi.
