Gyakie was traumatised by manager’s altercation with AfroNation security – George Britton

During the AfroNation festival in Portugal on June 29, 2023, there was a scuffle between Gyakie’s manager, Electro Mirror, and the security personnel. The incident caused Gyakie to feel worried and traumatized after seeing the negative information circulating on social media. In an interview on Hitz FM, George Mensah Britton, the manager of Camidoh, disclosed the details of the altercation.

According to George Britton, Mirror was taken into an ambulance due to feeling uncomfortable after the incident. A video of the altercation went viral on social media, showing Mirror being manhandled by several uniformed security personnel while onlookers expressed shock and horror. George’s voice can be heard in the background of the video, reproaching the security personnel for their actions.

George Britton explained that during the festival, while the VVIP and the artists were on the upper terrace, they were informed that Gyakie was at the entrance. They were led by someone else to search for her since they couldn’t find her initially. After some time, Gyakie was allowed to enter, but the rest of the group was asked to wait until the ticketing process was cleared.

Soon after, a fracas broke out at the gate, and George rushed to the scene to find Mirror and the security personnel engaged in a conflict. Mirror was pinned down on the floor while the security personnel restrained him, causing him to struggle for air.

George Britton assured the public that Mirror is doing well at the moment. AfroNation Portugal is a three-day concert that took place from June 28 to June 30, 2023. Ghanaian artists such as Camidoh, Black Sherif, and Gyakie were scheduled to perform at the festival.
