Hilda Baci’s Unprecedented Cooking Achievement Sparks Envy and Debate

Chef Hilda Bassey Effiong, popularly known as Hilda Baci, recently achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new record for the ‘longest cooking time by an individual.’ She cooked non-stop for 100 hours, surpassing the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes held by India’s Lata Tandon.

However, Hilda revealed in a candid interview on the ‘I Said What I Said’ Podcast that her achievement faced some criticism from individuals who were dissatisfied with her success. She expressed that these people believed she was “too blessed” and took issue with her beauty, skills, and charisma.

Hilda shared, “There were many who exclaimed, ‘It’s not fair!’ They couldn’t comprehend how one person could possess both beauty and talent. They questioned the imbalance, stating that life doesn’t work that way.”

Addressing speculations that she had paid for publicity, she emphatically denied such claims. She highlighted the extensive media coverage her attempt received, asserting that it was beyond what any monetary investment could achieve. Hilda attributed the attention she received to grace, emphasizing that it couldn’t be planned or purchased.
