This announcement follows Meek Mill’s previous mention of Ghana during a question and answer session on X in October 2023. During that session, he disclosed his intention to return to Ghana without specifying a specific date. Additionally, Meek Mill pledged to sign an artiste from Ghana during his upcoming trip.

However, Meek Mill’s initial visit to Ghana in 2023 was not without controversy. He faced criticism for filming a music video at the Jubilee House, which led to accusations of “desecrating” the site. Ghanaian MPs raised concerns about potential security risks associated with the filming. In response, Meek Mill issued a statement taking responsibility for his actions and expressing respect for the people of Ghana.

Separately, social media speculation linked Meek Mill to an unnamed musician alleged to have had sexual relations with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in a lawsuit against the American music mogul, which alleges sexual assault and sex trafficking. However, Meek Mill’s name does not appear in the public documents related to the lawsuit, nor has he been accused of any crime in the suit brought by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
