nana ama mcbrown breaks silence on why she parted ways with despite media to join media general

The host of UTV’s United Showbiz programme, Nana Ama McBrown has left Despite Media to join Media General and has finally opened up why she parted ways with her former media company

The popular Ghanaian actress and media personality stirred social media conversation after she was missing from her routine TV show United Showbiz on UTV.

This got fans of the show wondering her whereabouts, but McBrown subsequently joined Media General and received a rousing welcome as she onboarded.

Social media users reacted profusely with criticisms of all forms asserting that she doesn’t wield the requisite media skills like proficient communicating skills needed.

She responded to the criticisms and said she isn’t bothered about what people say about her and the negativity because she has enormous blessings and rather be hooked to her blessings.

Reason Why Nana McBrown Left Despite Media to Join Media General.

She also mentioned the reason leading to her departure in an interview on Johnnie Hughes’ show where she disclosed that she had no ‘binding contract’ with Despite media.

I had this call somewhere about early February, I ignored it. I was thinking about it, I was praying about it, I wanted to be sure even though at that moment, I didn’t have much to do apart from my ambassadorial deals. I didn’t want to go into this but I have to say this because of how the conversation is going. She said.

I told my previous employers that I wanted to hold on from December. Let’s think of something new to do, that’s what I said to them. I was expecting them to call and say come let’s think about what is new. However, I don’t have a contract with anybody so if nobody is minding me, I have the right to move on…I am not here to explain much. This is me, I pray about every step I make, I don’t just move,

Whoever is saying what about me, I leave that person to God because I know myself and I know I have worked my way through here. I didn’t come here just for the sake of my beauty or maybe my smile. I have worked to make my smile impactful. I am here because I have worked, oh Jonnie I have worked! she added.

She however expressed her delight and joy over the welcome party organized by Media General which according to her made her ‘feel at home’.

You have no idea how I am relieved and happy to be a part of this family.

You have no idea…I wasn’t expecting the grand welcome…to have Captain Smart and the rest to wear my t-shirt with Berla around going live, yourself, Jonnie, the drums. I wasn’t expecting that, It was beautiful. Right there, I felt home, she remarked.

Nana Ama McBrown prior to her media pursuit excelled in the Ghanaian movie industry, dominating the Kumasi-based movies and wowed movie maniacs.

She also excelled during her tenure at Despite media and won the hearts of many on television, fair premise on which Ghanaians believe McBrown will thrive with her new employer, Media General.
