Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been dominant figures in the Ghanaian and African reggae-dancehall music scene since their respective debuts in 2004 and 2012.

The rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, both accumulating numerous prestigious awards and achievements over the past decade, has sparked continuous debate about who holds the title of the reggae dancehall King.

During a conversation with Bella Mundi on Tv3 Day Show, Samini made his choice clear by picking Shatta Wale as the superior reggae dancehall artist and talent over Stonebwoy.

In explaining his choice, Samini noted, “Shatta Wale comes from my era, and I believe he has achieved more than Stonebwoy. Stonebwoy is still on his journey of growth in the industry.”
