The second edition of the Western Music Awards (WMA) organized by Westline Entertainment will come off this this month specifically on the 28th of April 2018.

This year’s edition of the Western Music Awards themed ‘For the love of the region’ was launched in February.

The 2017 edition of the WMA brought together legends from the Western Region like Paulina Oduro, Gyedu Blay Ambulley and upcoming artistes like Kofi Kinaata and so on.

According to Nana Kwesi Coomson who is the Public Relations Officer Of the WMU, the award scheme is geared towards rewarding all artists within the region which means any artist from the Region qualifies automatically for the award.

He also said the year’s award seeks to review songs played and produced in the year 2017. He also made us understand that there will be 23 categories for the awards which will be grouped under General and Industry or Technical assessment. Below are the categories for the 2018 awards:

Best Entertainment Show of the Year

Lifetime Achievement Award

Best Female Artiste of the Year

Best Radio DJ of the Year
