Ghana’s rising female artist, Berlinda Gedie, popularly known as Shylar, has just released her highly anticipated EP, “First Face.” This collection includes five powerful tracks featuring collaborations with artists like Eno Barony and Kwesi Amewuga.
The EP showcases a mix of Highlife, Afrobeats, and Dancehall genres.
Shylar found inspiration in her personal experiences with love, loss, and self-discovery for this project.
“I aimed to create an EP that reflects the essence of the human experience,” she explained, mentioning that she experimented with various sounds and styles to craft a unique and relatable sonic landscape that would transport listeners to a different emotional state.
