GMB at 20 Grand Finale Tonight Six Queens Battle for the Crown at the National Theatre
Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) reaches its biggest night tonight. Six finalists will step onto the stage of the National Theatre in Accra on Sunday, October 18, 2026, to compete for the 20th anniversary crown of TV3’s long-running cultural pageant, after about 12 weeks of performances, evictions and weekly awards.
Greater Accra’s Lamiley, Volta’s Sessinam, Upper East’s Ayinboma, Ashanti’s Ampomaa, Bono’s Nana Konadu and Western North’s Tiwaa are the last women standing. Only one of them will walk away as the GMB at 20 queen.

The new queen will also get the chance to represent Ghana at the Miss Earth pageant, giving her an international stage to carry the GMB message beyond the country.
Music on the Night: Fameye and Kojo Blak
Organisers have lined up two popular acts to entertain the audience. Highlife and Afrobeats star Fameye, who has been enjoying attention for his song “Gen Z”, is billed to perform.
He will be joined by singer Kojo Blak, known for collaborations such as “Rover” with AratheJay. The show starts at 8pm, and patrons have been told to be seated by 7pm.
Meet the Six Finalists
Lamiley (Greater Accra)
Lamiley has been one of the standout names of the season. She has won the Star Performer award more than once and also picked up Best Costume, making her one of the most decorated contestants this year.
Judge Janet Sunkwa-Mills singled out her portrayal of the historical figure Naa Dode Akaibi for praise. Lamiley holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Theatre Arts and a master’s in Information Technology Law.
Sessinam (Volta)
Sessinam has been tipped as one of Lamiley’s strongest rivals. She has won Star Performer twice and was named Most Eloquent during Traditional Delicacy Night. The Volta Regional Minister reportedly pledged GH¢10,000 to support her campaign.
Ayinboma (Upper East)
Ayinboma has won Best Model, Best Costume and Most Eloquent awards during the season. On the morning of the finale, 3News reported that Wenawome Aborah, CEO of Kacstone Records and manager of musician ADANGBA, donated an undisclosed amount to support her bid.
Aborah made a similar gesture in 2025 for the Upper East representative Asakia, who finished as first runner-up. The region last won the crown in 2013 through Queen Poka.
Nana Konadu (Bono)
Nana Konadu won Best Model of the Night on Fashion Night and Star Performer on One Africa Night, where she represented Côte d’Ivoire.
Ampomaa (Ashanti)
Ampomaa was named Kivo Woman of the Week during Destination Ghana Night and goes into the finale as the flag-bearer for the Ashanti Region.
Tiwaa (Western North)
Tiwaa picked up Best Costume on Rhythms of Our Land Night and Most Eloquent on Destination Ghana Night. She also presented on Cameroon during One Africa Night.
A Season Built on Culture
The 20th edition, branded GMB at 20, has taken contestants through themed nights on culture, fashion, food, tourism, history and regional identity. Each week, contestants used storytelling, costumes and stage performances to present their regions.
The judging panel has included Janet Sunkwa-Mills, Nana Adwoa Awindor and Nana Krobea Asante, while former queens have also appeared on the show. Several contestants were evicted along the way, cutting the group down to the final six.
Awards vs. Votes
Weekly awards have shaped fan debates, but they do not decide the crown on their own. As some reports have pointed out, winning weekly awards and winning public support are two different things, so tonight’s result is still open.
Fans Pick Their Favourites
Social media has been busy in the days leading up to the finale. Many fans have backed Lamiley because of her strong run of awards, while others are rooting for Sessinam, Ayinboma and the rest of the finalists to cause an upset.
3News, which belongs to the same network as TV3, promised that the night “will leave a lasting impression that will keep everyone talking for a long time.”
Final Word
After 20 years, GMB remains one of Ghana’s best-known TV pageants, and tonight’s finale will crown a new ambassador for Ghanaian culture. Will Lamiley’s consistency pay off, or will Sessinam, Ayinboma or another finalist steal the show? Stay with Halmblog for the winner and highlights from the National Theatre.
