What the Viral Video Shows

The clip began circulating on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. It is a split-screen video. One side shows a close-up photo of Omah Lay. The other shows outdoor footage, filmed at dusk, of a man on a stretcher being moved by about four paramedics towards a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance.

Bystanders can be seen around the scene, and a woman appears to be running alongside the stretcher. A separate photo shared online shows the singer on the floor with his left leg wrapped as medical staff attend to him.

The footage has not been independently verified. Its exact location, timing and the full circumstances behind it have not been officially confirmed.

Reports Point to a Rehearsal Stunt

According to reports by several Nigerian outlets, including TheCable Lifestyle and TVC News, the singer reportedly suffered a leg injury while performing an acrobatic move during rehearsals in Los Angeles, California.

Posts on X helped spread the story. One user, @TheDamiForeign, wrote on October 20: “Omo! How serious the injury is remains unclear.

Born Stanley Omah Didia, Omah Lay started out as a producer at the age of 15 before stepping in front of the microphone. He broke through in 2020 with hits such as “You” and “Bad Influence,” which made him one of the most talked-about new voices in Afrobeats.
