‘It Was an Accident’ – Oteele Admits Cheating on His Wife With Three Women on The Delay Show

Oteele

Kumawood actor and comedian Oteele has admitted to cheating on his wife with three women since their marriage, describing the affairs as “accidents” during a joint interview with his wife on The Delay Show. The candid sit-down, which comes months after an intimate video of the actor leaked online, has become one of the most talked-about Ghanaian showbiz moments this weekend.

Quick Facts

  • Oteele, a Ghanaian actor and comedian, appeared on The Delay Show alongside his wife.
  • Asked how many women he had cheated with since getting married, he answered: “Three.”
  • His wife said he had “lost count” but confirmed she knows the three women he named.
  • Oteele said he recorded the leaked video intending to delete it but forgot to do so.
  • The intimate video first circulated online in August 2026.
  • The interview was published by DELAY TV, with GhanaWeb reporting on it on Sunday, November 8, 2026.

The full interview was shared on Delay’s YouTube channel, DELAY TV.

Oteele Admits Cheating: “Three” Women Since Marriage

Delay did not hold back in the interview. She asked the actor directly how many women he had been unfaithful with since he married his wife, and Oteele replied with one word: “Three.”

His wife, seated beside him, did not fully agree with the figure. She said her husband had “lost count.” She declined to give her own number but said she knows the three women he mentioned.

She also told Delay that whenever she confronted him about an affair in the past, he would often deny it.

“It’s an Accident” – Oteele on Whether His Wife Could Cheat

The conversation took an interesting turn when Delay asked Oteele how he would react if his wife ever cheated on him. He first insisted she would never do such a thing, before saying he would accept it.

“It’s an accident; I will take it as normal. If she does, it has already happened, so what could I do about it?” he said.

His wife was quick to dispute his calm response. “He’s lying; he’s very jealous,” she said.

Oteele then added a condition to his earlier answer. “If she does it now that we have spoken about it, it would be intentional,” he said.

Oteele Speaks on the Leaked Video

The interview also returned to the leaked video that put the actor at the centre of a major controversy in August. Delay suggested that the woman in the video had known Oteele for a long time.

The actor also addressed a child seen in the clip, saying the child had never met him before and had walked in on them.

On how the video came to exist in the first place, Oteele said: “Maybe my intention for recording it was to later delete it, but I think I forgot to delete it.”

He went on to reflect on the exposure, saying: “So in this world, when your cup is full, and God exposes you.”

How the Oteele Saga Unfolded

Oteele’s troubles began in August 2026 when an intimate video involving the actor and another woman spread across social media, drawing widespread reactions. Soon after, his wife, Gifty Nana Afriyie, spoke publicly about the matter, and at one point threatened to expose more of his secrets.

In October, she opened up about the difficult road to forgiveness in an interview with Nayaas on TikTok. “It was not easy to wake up one day and decide to forgive him,” she said at the time, as reported by GhanaWeb.

The couple’s latest joint appearance suggests they are still together, although the interview showed that the issue of trust remains a sensitive one between them.

Mixed Reactions Online

The Delay interview has drawn strong reactions from Ghanaians on social media. GhanaWeb noted that some viewers questioned why Oteele’s wife appeared to be smiling at moments when her husband spoke openly about his affairs, a reaction that quickly became a major talking point.

Marital disputes involving public figures have been a recurring subject in Ghanaian showbiz this year, including the divorce row between Florence Obinim and Bishop Obinim, in which cheating was also cited.

Who Is Oteele?

Oteele is a Ghanaian actor and comedian known for his roles in Kumawood films and comedy skits. Like several of his colleagues, including fellow screen personality Strika, who recently made headlines over a visit to Nsawam Prison, his personal life has frequently drawn public attention.

For now, Oteele’s frank admission on The Delay Show has reopened conversations about his marriage, the leaked video and how he and his wife are working through the fallout.
