Actress Akuapem Poloo Seeks Police Protection Following Alleged Assassination Attempt
Controversial actress Akuapem Poloo sought refuge with the police after an alleged failed assassination attempt. Poloo, who lives alone with her nine-year-old son, claimed that a 23-year-old intruder entered her compound and made his way to her upstairs room.

Fortunately, Poloo was saved by some friends who happened to be visiting, causing the suspect to be startled upon seeing one of the men. When confronted, the intruder admitted to targeting Akuapem Poloo but seemed confused when questioned about his motives for entering her room.
The suspect was subsequently taken to the police station, where he supposedly confessed to being hired by individuals to harm Poloo. He implicated an accomplice, a taxi driver who was waiting five houses away from Poloo’s residence. The taxi driver was also apprehended.
In a live video, a distressed Poloo shared that the taxi driver denied involvement in the crime and explained that he had only been hired by the first suspect to drive him to the location. However, Poloo stated that CCTV footage showed the car circling her home multiple times before parking in a dark area, allowing the intruder to sneak in.
Both suspects remain in custody at the police station. Tearfully, Poloo pleaded with those who held grievances against her to forgive her for her past mistakes.
