Don Jazzy Launches 2027 Tech Scholarship With TS Academy, Offers Up to Full Tuition and Free Laptops

Don Jazzy

Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy has opened applications for a new technology scholarship for young Nigerians. On Monday, October 26, 2026, the music producer shared a video on his X page announcing the Don Jazzy 2027 Tech Scholarship, run in partnership with TS Academy, and urged fans to put learning first.

The programme offers tuition support of up to 100 per cent, depending on the award, as well as limited laptop and internet data support for selected students. It is the latest in a long line of gestures that have made the music mogul one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity givers.

Watch: Don Jazzy Announces the Scholarship

Don Jazzy made the announcement in a video posted on his X account on Monday.

What Don Jazzy Announced

In the video, Don Jazzy told his followers that “education is key” and asked them to share the news with anyone who could benefit from it.

He also took a light-hearted swipe at people who often ask him for money for travel, hair or nights out at the club. His message was simple: put that energy into gaining skills that can change your life.

According to Legit.ng, eligible applicants can get tuition discounts worth up to ₦447,000, along with a further discount on application fees.

Courses on Offer

The official scholarship page lists 15 tech paths. Most are beginner-friendly, and no prior tech experience is required.

  • AI and Automation
  • Data Analytics and Data Science
  • Cybersecurity
  • Software, Frontend and Backend Development
  • DevOps Engineering
  • Product Design (UI/UX) and Graphics Design
  • Product Management and Project Management
  • Digital Marketing and Content Creation
  • Virtual Assistance

Applicants can choose only one course, but they are allowed to switch before the cohort begins.

Laptops and Data Support

The scholarship page promotes 50 free laptops and data support for students. However, it makes clear that device and data help is limited and not guaranteed.

Only enrolled students with genuine need can request it on the application form. Beneficiaries will be picked and contacted after the cohort starts, based on eligibility and availability.

Other Benefits

Beyond tuition support, the programme promises mentorship from industry experts, hands-on projects, and internship and job placement support. TS Academy says it is accredited by the American Council of Training and Development (ACTD).

Fans React

The announcement drew warm reactions online. One X user, @OSCAR_30BG, thanked Don Jazzy for the “amazing opportunity,” while another, @sprcialgigi, said they had already applied and hoped to get a laptop too.

Many others shared the post to spread the word, in line with the producer’s own request.

Not Don Jazzy’s First Push for Tech Skills

This is not the first time the Mavin boss has backed young people learning tech. In November 2021, he sent ₦1.5 million to sponsor 100 Nigerian youths to learn coding after a young man named Chizom tagged him on social media asking for help.

On the scholarship page, Don Jazzy sums up his thinking in one line: “I’ve always believed that talent is everywhere.”

Away from philanthropy, the producer remains busy in entertainment. He was recently among the stars who joined the Dangote Refinery tour with RMD, Teni and Faithia Balogun, while his label act Ayra Starr has announced a 20-date Starrgirl World Tour for 2027.

Final Word

With tech jobs in high demand, Don Jazzy’s 2027 Tech Scholarship gives young Nigerians a real chance to build in-demand skills at little or no tuition cost. Slots are limited, so anyone interested should apply early and keep an eye on their email and phone for updates.
