Ini Edo Opens Up About Regrets and Lessons from Failed Marriage

In a recent interview with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Nollywood actress Iniobong Edo opened up about her past failed marriage and expressed regrets about the decision. On November 29, 2008, Iniobong married Philip Ehiagwina, an American-based businessman. However, their marriage lasted only five years, and they eventually divorced in 2013.

Iniobong revealed that her family had pressured her into the marriage, and she now acknowledges that it was not the right choice for her. She emphasized that she would only consider entering into a marriage with the right person.

In 2021, the actress shared the news of the birth of her child through surrogacy. She disclosed that she had chosen this path due to experiencing multiple miscarriages. Frustrated with unsuccessful attempts to conceive, Iniobong decided to pursue surrogacy as an alternative. She explained that not having a husband at the time led her to seek motherhood on her own terms. With the intention of having a child biologically connected to her, she opted for surrogacy using her own eggs, which she confirmed were in good condition.

Overall, Iniobong Edo has openly discussed her regrets about her previous marriage and her choice to become a mother through surrogacy as a result of her personal circumstances and experiences with miscarriages.
