LilWin
Kumawood star and filmmaker LilWin has reopened his long-running feud with veteran actor Van Vicker, this time with a deadline attached. In a new video shared on Monday, October 5, 2026, LilWin gave Van Vicker five days to apologise to him, warning that he will push to keep the actor out of every Kumawood movie if he refuses.
The ultimatum is the latest twist in a public quarrel that has run for more than two years, built around movie roles, shooting dates and who said what behind the scenes.
What LilWin Said
In the video, which circulated widely on TikTok, LilWin, real name Kwadwo Nkansah, repeated his claim that Van Vicker pulled out of a film project at the last minute and threw his production plans into confusion.
He said he would place a ban on the actor and work to make sure he does not feature in any Kumawood film again if no apology comes within five days. LilWin went further, saying that if he ever finds Van Vicker on a Kumawood set, he is ready to pay the producers to drop him from the project.
The filmmaker also insisted he has documents that back his version of the agreement between the two of them, although he has not made them public.

How the Latest Fight Started
The current row goes back to August 2026. In a TikTok video at the time, LilWin announced that he was done working with Van Vicker. He accused the actor of turning down roles just a day before shoots and ignoring calls from his team.
“You don’t respect the Kumawood industry,” LilWin said, adding that he would never cast Van Vicker again and would not even shoot a movie if both of them were cast in it. He also revealed that a director, Frank, had included Van Vicker in his upcoming movie, but he had removed the actor’s name.
According to LilWin, he had given Van Vicker chances twice “out of love and respect,” and there would be no third time.
Van Vicker’s Side of the Story
Van Vicker quickly rejected the claims in August. He said he refused to be part of what he described as a misleading or mischievous promotional stunt.
The actor explained that a director known as Big Matt reached out to him about two productions in Kumasi. He said he was not free on the proposed dates and asked to see the scripts before making any commitment. He later told the director, several days before filming, that he could not take part because of other engagements.
Van Vicker listed three points to show he never walked out of a deal:
- He never agreed to join the project, as talks were still ongoing.
- He never confirmed any shooting dates.
- His professional fees were never discussed or finalised.
He added that the producers tried to cut his shooting days from three or four down to two, but he still could not fit the project into his schedule. He also criticised the decision to take the matter to social media.
A Feud With a Long History
This is not the first time the two actors have clashed. The tension dates back to 2024 and LilWin’s hit film A Country Called Ghana.
Speaking on Hello FM in Kumasi at the time, Van Vicker said producer Frank Fiifi Gharbin approached him for a lead role. He said the team wanted him for about a month, but he could only offer ten days because of his studies. The role eventually went to Nigerian star Ramsey Nouah.
“Can you believe Ramsey used ten days to do the job?” Van Vicker said, pointing out that the shoot ended up taking roughly the time he had proposed.
In February 2025, LilWin hit back in a video, calling Van Vicker a hypocrite for commenting negatively on the film. He said he had always treated the actor like a brother but felt his kindness was being taken for weakness.
Why the Timing Matters
The new ultimatum comes as LilWin is busy with his biggest project yet, A Journey to Africa. The film brought several top Nollywood names to Ghana, a moment we covered when Zubby Michael and Kanayo O. Kanayo landed in the country for the shoot.
The project has also brought its own pressure. LilWin recently admitted he was struggling to sleep over the unpaid balance he owes some Nollywood stars on the film.
LilWin has also had public disputes with other colleagues in the past. In 2024, actress Martha Ankomah took him to court over comments he made about her, and he later apologised to her.
As of Tuesday morning, Halmblog had not seen any public response from Van Vicker to the five-day ultimatum.
What Happens Next
All eyes are now on whether Van Vicker will reply before the deadline runs out. Given his firm denial in August, an apology looks unlikely, which could set up another round in one of Ghana’s longest celebrity feuds.
Halmblog will keep following the story and bring you any response from Van Vicker.
