Sammy Flex Announces Official Managerial Role for Shatta Wale

Sammy Flex, the well-known Ghanaian entertainment broadcaster, has recently taken on the role of manager for the popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale. This announcement was made through a video posted online by the Chief Executive Officer of Flex Entertainment, where he explained that after assisting Shatta Wale with various tasks over the past few months, they have decided to formalize their working relationship.

Before this official announcement, there was some speculation about Sammy Flex’s role in Shatta Wale’s career. Some referred to him as Shatta Wale’s Public Relations Officer, while others likened him to the ‘Sergio Ramos’ of the artist, given his role in defending and explaining matters related to Shatta Wale.

Sammy Flex expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and sees this appointment as a significant advancement in his career within the entertainment industry. He emphasized the positive impact of working with a high-profile artist like Shatta Wale, citing increased experience and exposure as valuable benefits.

This managerial appointment comes in the midst of a recent controversy involving Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s proposed concerts at the Accra Sports Stadium, scheduled for December 25, 2023, and December 22, 2023, respectively. Shatta Wale had raised concerns about the timing and logistics, prompting Sammy Flex, who had been actively defending Shatta Wale’s position in the media, to write an open letter advising the artist to consider canceling the Freedom Wave Concert.

Sammy Flex has an illustrious history in Ghana’s entertainment media landscape. He previously produced the widely recognized entertainment newspaper, Flex, in 2007, and hosted the popular entertainment morning show, AM Pluzz, on PLuzz FM in 2013. He has worked with various TV stations and, notably, served as the Communications Director and morning show host at Zylofon Music. Additionally, he has held managerial roles with artists such as Guru, Quarme Zaggy, and Kumi Guitar. Currently, he runs Sammy Flex TV, an online media platform focusing on arts and lifestyle, and hosts an entertainment show on CTV.
