Temi Nkem

Temi Nkem is the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 11. The bold, outspoken housemate was crowned champion of the “Show Ya Sef” edition at the live grand finale on Sunday night, October 4, 2026, finishing ahead of fellow finalists Aikou and Sheba to claim the show’s N160 million prize package.

Her win brings the curtain down on 70 days of tasks, nominations, twists and drama that kept millions of viewers across Nigeria and the rest of Africa glued to their screens.

How the Finale Played Out

The finale began at 7pm WAT with nine housemates still in the race: Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram. Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu sent them home one after another as the night went on.

Barry, who had won the final Head of House title of the season, was the first finalist to leave. Oyin, Ricky, Flora and Tram followed, before Bluethopia’s exit left Aikou, Sheba and Temi Nkem as the final three.

Sheba was the next to go, setting up a final face-off between Temi Nkem and Aikou. In the end, the viewers’ votes went the way of Temi.

The Final Vote Count

According to BellaNaija, Temi Nkem won with 25.87% of the total votes. Aikou finished as first runner-up with 23.68%, while Sheba came third with 9.80%.

The close gap between the top two shows just how tight the race was. Many fans had described this season as one of the hardest to predict in the show’s history.

What Temi Nkem Takes Home

The Season 11 winner’s package is worth N160 million in total. It was first announced as N100 million in cash plus a vehicle valued at N60 million.

BellaNaija reports that the cash part now stands at N90 million, after N10 million was set aside for the Most Influential Player of the Week fund during the season. Temi also gets a brand-new SUV and other gifts from the show’s sponsors.

Temi Nkem’s Journey in the House

From the first week, Temi made it clear she was not going to fade into the background. She was one of the most talked-about housemates of the season, both inside the house and on social media.

Her stay was full of headline moments. She was linked romantically with fellow housemates Keivo and Tram, and she had heated clashes with others, including Oyin. Those moments kept her name trending week after week.

Some viewers called it “main character energy.” Whatever the label, it built her a loyal fan base that turned up for her when it mattered most.

Mind Against Performance

Going into the finale, many pundits saw the race as a battle between Temi and Aikou. Aikou, a backend developer and freelance teacher, earned the nickname “the Professor” for his calm, thoughtful style and deep conversations in the house.

Temi, on the other hand, won people over with entertainment, emotion and constant visibility. On the night, entertainment came out on top, but only just.

A Season Like No Other

Season 11 started on July 26 with 24 housemates, 12 men and 12 women. It quickly became one of the most eventful editions of the reality show.

It was the first season to record two disqualifications and a voluntary exit in the same edition. One of the disqualifications came in the penultimate week, when Keivo was removed from the house over a physical confrontation, cutting the finalists from ten to nine.

We covered the build-up in our BBNaija Season 11 finale preview, where the nine finalists were preparing for their last night in the house.

Fifth Female Winner

Temi Nkem’s victory makes her the fifth woman to win Big Brother Naija. She joins a list that includes Mercy Eke, Phyna, Ilebaye and last year’s Season 10 winner, Imisi.

Past winners have gone on to build big careers in entertainment and business. Mercy Eke, the show’s first female winner, remains one of Nigeria’s most visible reality stars, while Phyna recently made headlines again with her celebrity boxing win.

What Comes Next

For Temi Nkem, the real work starts now. The weeks after the finale usually bring media tours, brand deals and endorsement offers, and fans will be watching closely to see how she turns her win into a lasting career.

Aikou and Sheba also leave with strong fan bases of their own, and both are expected to stay in the spotlight in the coming months.

Final Word

After 70 days of drama, games and twists, Temi Nkem has shown herself the way the season’s theme demanded, and Nigeria voted her the champion. The “Show Ya Sef” edition has its queen, and a new chapter in her story is only beginning.
