Wendy Shay
Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has called out Nigerian airline Air Peace over an alleged failure to refund payment for six flight tickets booked by her team earlier this year.
The singer says her team paid for the tickets through the airline’s website in January but never received a booking confirmation. With a scheduled performance in Nigeria approaching and time running out, they were forced to make alternative travel arrangements.
Wendy Shay has now demanded an immediate refund, warning that she could escalate the matter to the relevant authorities if the airline fails to resolve the issue.
Wendy Shay Explains What Happened With the Six Tickets
In a post shared on X on November 2, 2026, Wendy Shay said her team had spent months trying to recover the money without success.
She also questioned Air Peace’s customer service arrangements in Ghana, claiming that her team was repeatedly directed to send emails to the airline’s Nigerian office, but did not receive a response.
Wendy Shay’s original post on X:
@flyairpeace We paid for 6 tickets to Nigeria in January on your website didn’t receive booking confirmation. We booked another flight because we were time bound for a show. We have been chasing a refund ever since and every effort by my team to reach you has failed. How can an airline operate here without a costumer service center? Anytime my team Tried to reach out we were asked to send email to Nigeria which you never responded. This is unacceptable. Refund us ASAP or we escalate this matter to the authorities.

Wendy Shay Says She Has Not Received the Direct Message
The exchange continued after Wendy Shay replied that she could not find any message from the airline in her inbox. She asked Air Peace to contact her management directly, adding that customers should not be taken for granted.
Air Peace subsequently asked her to check her message requests. The singer maintained that she had not received the communication and requested that the airline contact her management by phone or WhatsApp.
Later, the airline shared what it described as evidence that a direct message had been sent, asking Wendy Shay to confirm whether she had received it so the matter could be investigated.
Refund Amount Remains Undisclosed
Neither Wendy Shay nor Air Peace has publicly disclosed the amount paid for the six tickets. As of the latest reports, there has also been no public confirmation that the refund has been completed.
The disagreement has drawn attention to the importance of responsive customer service, particularly for passengers who rely on airlines for time-sensitive travel arrangements.
