The event will hold on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State. The family has also asked fans and well-wishers to stand with the wife and two daughters he left behind.

How Toluwanisings Died
Toluwanisings died less than 24 hours after ministering at “In His Presence,” a monthly worship concert hosted by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan on Tuesday, October 13. As we reported when the family confirmed the death of Toluwanisings, the news triggered a wave of tributes from fans and colleagues.
According to reports, he collapsed at his home in the Alakia area of Ibadan in the early hours of October 14. His personal assistant, Babadunni Gbolabo, told BBC Yoruba that he had not been ill before the incident.
“He just slumped, and people made frantic efforts to resuscitate him,” Gbolabo said. He claimed that the singer was taken to seven or eight hospitals before he was declared dead.
Hospital rejection claims spark debate
The aide’s account set off strong reactions on social media. Some facilities were said to have cited a doctors’ strike, while others reportedly said no doctor was available. These claims have not been independently confirmed.
The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, later responded. Speaking to PUNCH, the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Enitan, said services were running and that the strike was a local one within the hospital, not a national strike. “I was not aware that he was brought to UCH,” she said, adding that there was “no record of it with the management.”
No official cause of death has been made public.
Tributes Continue
Before the family’s announcement, a candlelight procession was held in honour of the late singer. Bidemi Olaoba, whose concert was his last ministration, also honoured him by performing one of his signature songs, “Kabiyesi Olorun Ayo,” at a worship event on Friday, October 17.
The grief over his passing comes during a heavy month for Nigeria’s entertainment scene. Nollywood actress and former beauty queen Tenia Abraham was laid to rest in Abuja just days ago, while the family of TikTok star Purity Omonye, known as Mrs GCFR, confirmed her death earlier this week.
Who Was Toluwanisings?
Born in Osun State and based in Ibadan, Toluwanisings rose to national fame in 2021 after cleric and social media personality Woli Agba shared one of his songs online. He went on to become a well-loved voice in Yoruba gospel music, with songs such as “Eleda” and “A Very Big God.”
In July 2026, he and members of his crew survived a road accident after an articulated vehicle rammed into them following a ministration. He married in 2020 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Final Thoughts
Toluwanisings’ family says the October 27 gathering is about love, memories and thanksgiving for a life that touched many through music. As fans prepare to gather in white in Ibadan, the call to support his young family is likely to remain a big part of how he is remembered. Halmblog will share updates as more details on his burial are announced.
