Gospel singer Florence Obinim and actress Benedicta Gafah have set social media talking again, this time without saying a single word. The two women, who have traded public jabs for most of 2026, found themselves standing close to each other at Piesie Esther’s Flora Made By Grace concert in Accra on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and a short moment between them has split opinion online.

In videos from the event, Florence reaches over and gently touches Benedicta’s cheek. Benedicta is then seen touching her own chin twice. To some fans, it was a sign of peace inside a church. To others, it looked like the actress was wiping the touch away.

Here is the clip of the moment, shared on TikTok by Dek360Ghana.

What Happened at the Concert

The encounter took place at Perez Chapel International in Dzorwulu, Accra, where Piesie Esther was marking five years of her annual Flora Made By Grace concert.

According to YEN.com.gh, the two women stood near each other in the crowd and, for a while, did not appear to interact at all.

Florence then reached across and touched Benedicta’s cheek. Soon after, Benedicta touched her chin twice, and that small gesture is what got people talking.

A Second Clip Adds to the Debate

GhanaWeb also reported a separate clip in which Benedicta was dancing when Florence briefly touched her cheeks.

In another video, Benedicta turned sharply as Florence passed by her. Some viewers read this as the actress trying to avoid eye contact with the gospel singer.

No Comment From Either Side

As of the time of writing, neither Florence Obinim nor Benedicta Gafah has publicly commented on the encounter or explained what happened between them.

That silence has left fans to fill in the gaps, and they have done so loudly.

Reactions on social media were sharply divided. Many saw Florence’s gesture as a mature move and praised her for it.

One user, bubbly_bamby, wrote: “Aw, mama Florence, God bless you.” Another, gold.ilocks50, said: “I was really waiting for that moment. In the house of God, there should be peace, forgiveness and love.”

A user named ehyeh_1 simply wrote: “Reconciliation… Heaven will be beautiful.”

Others focused on Benedicta’s response. “Hmmm… how many times did she clean her chin?” asked cheryz_nina, while black__beyonce wrote: “Hahah. It’s funny. Why does she want to clean up the hand that touched her or what?”

The History Between Florence Obinim and Benedicta Gafah

The reason the moment drew so much attention is that the two women have a long and very public history this year.

January 2026: The First Exchange

In January, Florence addressed rumours that Benedicta had undergone surgery to look like her husband’s alleged ex. Benedicta took offence at the comments.

Florence later responded with a Bible quotation, and Benedicta Gafah fired back by telling her to “find an identity.”

June 2026: Bishop Obinim Steps In

In June, Bishop Daniel Obinim said he had blocked Benedicta. Speaking at his International God’s Way Church, he said he did so on the day he learned she had disagreed with his wife, adding that he was hurt by how she treated Florence.

Benedicta disputed his version, insisting that she was the one who cut off contact. She has also repeatedly denied rumours of a romantic relationship with the bishop.

October 2026: The Divorce Story

The concert meeting also comes just weeks after Florence’s split from Bishop Obinim became public. On October 13, 2026, her lawyer, Kusi Appiah, told Peace FM that the bishop had cheated on her many times and kept airing their private matters in church.

About the Flora Made By Grace Concert

Beyond the viral moment, the night itself was a big one for Piesie Esther. The gospel singer celebrated five years of the concert with a night of praise and worship.

According to GBC, performers included Ohemaa Mercy, Kofi Sarpong, Uncle Ato, the Tagoe Sisters and Francis Amo. Highlife star Kuami Eugene also made a surprise appearance on stage with Piesie Esther.

Piesie Esther paid tribute to the late gospel musician Bernice Offei and to 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, the Ghanaian teenager who recently died in the United States.

A Kumasi edition of the concert is scheduled for November 15 at the Church of Pentecost in Bantama.

What Comes Next

For now, a few seconds of video are all fans have to go on. Whether Florence’s touch was an olive branch, and whether Benedicta’s chin wipe meant anything at all, only the two women can say.

Until either of them speaks, the clip is likely to keep doing the rounds on Ghanaian social media. Halmblog will update this story if Florence Obinim or Benedicta Gafah responds.
