Hitz-Joy Beach Rave 2026

The 2026 Hitz-Joy Beach Rave ended on a high note in Accra on Saturday, October 31, as KiDi, King Promise and Medikal led a long night of live music, DJ sets and beachside fun at Rehab Beach Club in Labadi. The event, organised by Multimedia Group stations Hitz 103.9 FM and Joy 99.7 FM, drew music lovers to the beach for an afternoon and evening built around some of Ghana’s biggest names in Afrobeats, highlife and dancehall.

A Big Night of Music at Rehab Beach Club

Gates opened at 2pm, and the party carried on well into the evening. Organisers had billed 19 entertainers for the event, which mixed Afrobeats, highlife, dancehall and contemporary Ghanaian sounds.

Coverage from MyJoyOnline says the three headliners delivered a selection of their popular hits alongside newer releases, keeping patrons on their feet from start to finish.

KiDi Brings the Hits

KiDi, known for his smooth vocals and a sound that blends Afrobeats, highlife and R&B, ran through crowd favourites including “Touch It”, “Odo” and “Enjoyment”.

He also performed songs from his 2026 album, Where Do We Go From Here. The 15-track project, his third studio album, was released on August 27, 2026, and features Sarkodie, Lasmid, AratheJay and Kwesi Arthur.

KiDi first came to national attention after winning the MTN Hitmaker competition in 2015. His album The Golden Boy won Album of the Year at the 2022 Ghana Music Awards, where he was also crowned Artiste of the Year. Saturday’s set showed why he remains one of the most reliable live performers in the country, moving easily between older hits and new songs from the album.

King Promise Keeps the Energy High

King Promise took the crowd through a string of his well-known songs, including “Terminator”, “CCTV” and “Paris”. His set leaned on the easy mix of Afrobeats, highlife and R&B that has made him one of Ghana’s most consistent hitmakers.

“Terminator” in particular remains a sing-along anthem at Ghanaian shows, and it got the same treatment by the beach on Saturday night.

Medikal Joins the Headline Bill

Rapper Medikal was the third headliner of the night. Reports on the event did not list the songs he performed, but he was named among the stars who gave patrons a mix of popular hits and fresh material.

Ras Kuuku, Lali X Lola and Morgan Nero on the Lineup

Beyond the headliners, the Beach Rave gave stage time to other acts with different sounds.

Dancehall and reggae act Ras Kuuku brought his street-flavoured energy to the beach. He is also known for collaborations such as the “Pharaoh” remix with Amerado and Episode.

Identical twin sisters Lali X Lola, made up of Patricia Delali Dake (Lali) and Trysha Wolali Dake (Lola), served their Afro-fusion vibes. The duo started their music career in 2021 and are known for songs like “Pepper Demm”, “Kamakazi” and “Mad Over Me”.

Lali X Lola won Emerging Woman of the Year at the 2024 3Music Awards. They also picked up the Telecel Music for Good Award at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards for their breast cancer awareness work through the #CroxItOut campaign.

Rising singer Morgan Nero was also on the bill, getting a chance to perform in front of a big crowd alongside established stars.

DJs Kept the Party Going

Between live sets, a strong team of DJs kept the music flowing. The DJ lineup included:

  • Merqury Quaye
  • Andy Dosty
  • DJ Raennie
  • DJ Fantastic
  • DJ Dhon K
  • DJ Shaker HD
  • DJ Ikon
  • DJ Wobeti

Patrons also enjoyed games and other beachside activities as the afternoon turned into night.

Why the Beach Rave Matters

The Hitz-Joy Beach Rave is part of efforts by the two Multimedia Group stations to connect with their listeners outside the studio. Instead of only hearing their favourite presenters and DJs on air, fans got to party with them in person.

Tickets were sold at GH¢100, with sales via a short code (*725*3404#), at the event gate, and at the Joy FM front desk in Kokomlemle. The event was sponsored by StarOil, Ayuda and Kivo.

The event also landed at a busy time for Ghana’s live music scene, as the country heads into the festive “December in GH” season, when concerts, raves and beach parties fill the calendar. Big shows such as Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2026 in Kumasi have already set the tone for a packed season.
