Who Is Rachael Okonkwo?

Born Nnenna Rachael Okonkwo on May 26, 1987, the actress hails from Ukpata in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State. She acted as a child but turned to dancing when film roles were hard to come by.

She joined Nollywood in 2007 with small roles and landed her first supporting role in Royal War 2 in 2008. Her big breakthrough came in 2014 with the lead role in Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, the film that gave her the nickname fans still use today.

A Busy Year for the Actress

It is a welcome bright spot for Nollywood, which has seen its share of difficult headlines lately.
