Zlatan Ibile and Davita

Afrobeats star Zlatan Ibile and his longtime partner, Davita, have finally had their big day. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the couple celebrated their traditional wedding in rich Benin-inspired attire, and the first photos from the occasion quickly spread across Nigerian social media, with fans calling the pair “regal.”

The celebration comes about two weeks after the couple announced the date in a save-the-date video narrated by their son, and months after photos of a private civil ceremony surfaced online in May.

Watch: Zlatan Shares First Look at His Wedding to Davita

Zlatan shared the first look at his traditional wedding looks with Davita on Instagram on the morning of the ceremony:

A Traditional Wedding Rooted in Edo Culture

The couple chose a look that honours Davita’s Edo heritage. Both bride and groom wore coordinated traditional outfits, with coral beads, the signature of Benin royal and bridal dressing, taking centre stage.

Zlatan posted the pictures on Instagram on the morning of the wedding, ahead of the celebration later in the day. The photos showed the couple posing in matching red and ivory tones against a warm backdrop.

What Davita Wore

According to BellaNaija, Davita wore a custom burgundy corseted mermaid gown by Dova Bridals. The gown had a curved sweetheart neckline, sheer long sleeves, a sweeping side train and red crystal beads arranged in lattice patterns.

She completed the look with a traditional Okuku braided crown, layers of coral necklaces, a sheer crimson veil and a black horsehair fly whisk.

What Zlatan Wore

The rapper wore a custom cream robe by Deji & Kola, topped with a textured ivory coat with hand-stitched red beadwork on the shoulders and hem.

He paired it with layered coral beads, an ivory ceremonial cap and a carved wooden staff. In one of the shots, he sat on a carved gold throne beneath a tasselled umbrella. Both looks were styled by Goodnews Emmanuel Icon.

Zlatan and his groomsmen also posed in matching native Benin outfits, a detail many fans singled out for praise.

Others simply celebrated the rapper finally walking down the aisle with the woman who has stood by him for years. One follower wrote, “Zlatan and his wife looking dashing on their big day today.”

From Low-Key Love to Wedding Bells

Zlatan and Davita have been together for several years but have mostly kept their relationship out of the spotlight. The couple share two sons, Shiloh and Benaiah.

The Civil Ceremony Rumours

In January 2026, some social media posts described Davita as Zlatan’s wife. At the time, the rapper said that although she was the mother of his child, they were not married.

In March, Davita added “Omoniyi,” Zlatan’s surname, to her Instagram name, which fuelled talk of a wedding. Then in May, photos of what was described as a private civil ceremony surfaced online after an event decorator shared them, surprising many fans.

The Save-the-Date Video

On October 9, the couple made things official when they announced October 24 as their wedding date in a sweet video narrated by their eldest son, Shiloh. “When I think about love, I think about my mummy and daddy,” the boy said in the clip, which carried the hashtag #DTTheUnion.

Days later, the pair also shared dreamy pre-wedding photos, building excitement ahead of Saturday’s ceremony.

Who Is Zlatan Ibile?

Zlatan, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, is one of the leading voices of Nigeria’s street-pop scene. He shot to fame with his energetic sound and the hit “Zanku (Leg Work),” which also gave birth to one of the most popular Afrobeats dance moves of recent years.

He has worked with many of Nigeria’s biggest stars and is known for his close friendship with Davido. His wedding is one of the most talked-about celebrity unions in Nigerian entertainment this year.

A Big Day for the Couple

After years of keeping things quiet, Zlatan and Davita have now celebrated their love in full colour, with a traditional wedding that put Edo culture front and centre. Fans will be watching for more photos and videos from the celebration as guests share their moments online. Halmblog congratulates the couple on their union.
